2016 Salt Ulus, Ankara
The abstract figures which is the composition of the public sculptures’ silhouettes in Ankara depicts two beast like figures which are about to attack each other. Silhouettes on the façade of the exhibition space reproduces the publicness of these art works that are added different periods of time. Some of the sculptures were disappeared because of unknown incidents. This work’s intention is to point out the local urban politics that has been shaping Ankara for 20 years under the rule of the controversial mayor, Melih Gokcek.
