Birdwatch

2014 Munich

In Munich, as a part of my research on critical and speculative design, I made a chair inspired from the hunter nests to exhibit in a local designer event about sustainability. The details of the chair are inspired from Enzo Mari’s Autoprogettazione in 70s which is an open source project. The wood used in the chair is upcycled from an IKEA bed furniture. The chair is taken around the city and placed to central axis to the parliament (Maxmonument, Maximiliansbrücke, Schiwindinsel) in the city for watching birds. Later these photographs from the public performance is used in the pamphlet of the chair in the exhibition.
